The Indian Army has released the official notification for the Indian Army NCC 57 Special Entry Scheme for the recruitment in the April 2025 Batch. The application process is started ont the 11th July 2024.This scheme is exclusively for NCC C certificate holders, both male and female candidates, aspiring to join the Indian Army as officers. Army SSC NCC Special Entry 57th Course  

(a)     NCC Men – 70 ((63 for General Category and 07 for Wards of Battle Casualties of

Indian Army personnel only). ).

(b)     NCC Women – 06 (05 for General Category and 01 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army personnel only).

 

Educational Qualification and other details: 

For NCC 'C' Certificate Holders.

(aa) Educational Qualification. Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. Those studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four years degree course respectively. Such students will need to secure overall aggregate of minimum 50% marks in degree course if selected in interview, failing which their candidature will be CANCELLED. It is to be noted that securing of 50% aggregate marks in degree course is a qualification to apply for the entry. The Indian Army reserves the right to apply a higher cut off percentage on the aggregate degree marks to shortlist candidates for being part through the Services Selection Board.

 (ab) Service in NCC. Should have served for minimum two/three years (as applicable) in Senior Division/Wg of NCC.

(ac) Grading. Should have obtained minimum of ‘B' Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC. Applicants who are not holding NCC ‘C’ Cert or Provisional NCC ‘C’ Certificate on date of application, are not eligible to apply for the course. Candidates holding Provisional NCC Certificate on dt of application are required to obtain NCC ‘C’ Certificate before appearing in SSB. PROVISIONAL NCC ‘C CERTIFICATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT SSB.

 

For Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel.

(aa) Eligibility Criteria. The vacancies under wards of battle casualties are available to wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters including legally adopted) of Battle casualties specified as:-

 (aaa) Killed in action.

(aab) Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted).

(aac) Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted).

(aad) Missing, presumed dead.

(ab) Educational Qualification. Degree of a recognized university or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.

(ac) NCC 'C' certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties.

Age Limit:

For National Cadet Corps (NCC) candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties) 19 to 25 years as on 01 Jan 2025 (born not earlier than 02 Jan 2000 and not later than 01 Jan 2006; both dates inclusive).

Selection Procedure.

The selection procedure is as follows:-

(a) Shortlisting of Applications. Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army) reserves the right for shortlisting of applications, without assigning any reason. After shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email. After allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to log in to the website and select their SSB dates which are available on a first come first serve basis initially. Thereafter, it will be allotted by the Selection Centres. The option to select the dates for SSB by candidates may be forfeited due to occurrence of any exceptional circumstance/events.

 (b) Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Jalandhar (Punjab). Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centre on candidates’ registered e-mail id and SMS only. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army) and no request for changes will be entertained in this regard.

(c) Candidates will be put through two stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available on official website of Directorate General of Recruiting ie www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. This will be followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.

 (d) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online official website.

  Step 1: Visit the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

  Step 2: Click on ‘Officer Entry Application/Login’ and then choose ‘Registration’ (skip if already registered).

  Step 3: Carefully fill out the online registration form.

  Step 4: After registration, go to the Dashboard and click on ‘Apply Online.’

  Step 5: Select ‘Apply’ against the Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course.

  Step 6: Open the ‘Application Form,’ read instructions, and click ‘Continue’ to fill details under various segments.

  Step 7: Provide personal information, communication details, education details, and details of previous SSB.

  Step 8: Remember to ‘Save & Continue’ before moving to the next segment.

  Step 9: After the last segment, review and edit entries on the ‘Summary of your information’ page.

  Step 10: Once certain of the correctness of all details, click ‘Submit.’

  Step 11: Candidates should click ‘Submit’ each time they reopen the application for editing.
