Eligibility
Criteria
Essential
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation or Its equivalent from
recognized board
- Only Matriculation certificate shall be
accepted as a proof for establishing age of the candidates
- All educational certificates other than
Central Board/State Board shall be accompanied with Government
notifications declaring the equivalence of such qualifications for service
under Central Government
Sports
Qualification
- Players who have participated or won
medals in International or National level competitions between 15/01/2024
to 15/01/2026
- Individual Event (International):
Sportsperson who have participated or won medals in any International
Sports tournament/competition/Championship as member of the Indian
contingent conducted/recognized by International Sports Federation
affiliated/recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
- Individual Event (National): Players who
have won medals in National Games/Senior National Championship/National
Open Championship or Youth/Junior National Championship
conducted/recognized by National Sports Federation affiliated/recognized
by IOA/MOYAS
- Team Event (International): Sportsperson
who have participated or won medals in international sports
tournament/competition/Championship conducted/recognized by International
sports federation affiliated/recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
- Team Event (National): Sportsperson who
have won medals in National Games/Senior National Championship/National
Open Championship or Youth/Junior National Championship while representing
any State/UT/Sports Control Board/recognized federation
- Sportsperson should be the main playing
member of the team and not in reserved list for team events
- Minimum qualifying marks: 12 marks (for
all categories UR/SC/ST/OBC)
Desirable
- First Preference: Candidates who have
represented the country and won medals in order of their priority
(Gold/Silver/Bronze/participation) in Senior, Junior or Youth categories
in international tournament/competition/championship
- Second Preference: Candidates who have
represented and won medals or position up to 3rd place in National
Games/Senior National Championship/National Open Championship or
Youth/Junior National Championship
Salary/Stipend
- Basic Pay: Level -3,
Rs. 21,700-69,100/- as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix
- Other
Allowances: All
other allowances as applicable to all Central Government employees
- Pension Scheme: Candidates
recruited will be governed/covered by the New Pension Scheme w.e.f.
01.01.2004 and other schemes issued by Government from time to time
- Additional
Benefits: All
allowances admissible to Central Government employee from time to time
under the rules

Selection
Process
- Stage 1 -
Scrutiny of Applications: Online application forms and
uploaded certificates will be scrutinized. Candidates securing minimum
qualifying 12 marks will be issued online admit cards
- Stage 2 -
Documentation: Verification of all original
documents/certificates pertaining to age, education, caste, sport
achievement, proof to avail age and height relaxation. Biometric
identification will be captured
- Stage 3 -
Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, chest measurement (for
male), and weight verification as per prescribed standards
- Stage 4 - Merit
List Preparation: Merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks
obtained by candidates as per sports achievement marking table
- Stage 5 -
Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates selected in
order of merit will undergo DME as per medical guidelines issued by MHA
- Stage 6 - Review
Medical Examination (RME): Appeal against DME can be
submitted within 24 hours with Rs. 25/- fee through Indian Postal Order
along with Medical Fitness Certificate
- Tie Breaking
Rules: Higher
marks, International achievement over National, National Games over Senior
National Championship, younger age, alphabetical order in English
- Final Selection: Based on
merit, PST, and Medical fitness

copy of certificate/document for sports discipline in support of highest
medal/position or highest level of participation in sports achievement
- Step 5: Fill the
online application form with accurate details
- Step 6: Upload
required documents including passport size photograph (same as to be
submitted during documentation)
- Step 7: Pay
application fee online (if applicable) - Rs. 159/- for Male UR/OBC candidates
- Step 8: Submit the
application form
- Step 9: Take
printout of submitted application form for future reference
- Step 10: Provide
genuine and functional email ID and mobile number for receiving admit card
and other communications
- Important: No application
will be accepted offline. Candidature of candidates who submit application
offline will be rejected summarily
- Documents

Certificate (for age proof), Educational certificates, Sports achievement
certificates, Caste certificate (if applicable), OBC NCL certificate
(obtained within 1 year), Domicile Certificate/PAN/Aadhaar/Driving
