Eligibility
Criteria for CSIR-CMERI Technician-I 2025
1.
Educational Qualification
Candidates
must have passed SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with
a minimum of 55% marks. Additionally, one of the following must be met:
- ITI certificate or national/state trade
certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized institution, OR
- 2 years’ full-time experience as an
apprentice trainee in the relevant trade from a recognized institution, OR
- 3 years of work experience in the
relevant trade in a government organization/PSU/Autonomous Body.
2. Age Limit
The
age limit for CSIR-CMERI Recruitment 2025 is:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
(as on the last date of online application: 21.01.2026)
- Age Relaxation: 5 years
for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 10-15 years for PwBD, 5 years for
Departmental/Govt. employees, and for Ex-Servicemen and Widows/Divorced
Women as per government norms.
Application
Fee for CSIR-CMERI Technician-I 2025
A
non-refundable fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) is mandatory for
applicants other than Ex-servicemen, SC/ST, Women, and PwBD candidates. The fee
must be deposited online through the State Bank Collect system; payment through
any other mode will result in application rejection.
Salary/
Stipend
The
post is in the Pay Level – 2 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix
(₹19,900-₹63,200). The total emoluments (Basic Pay + DA + HRA + TA etc.) are
approximately ₹ 37,000/- per month at the minimum of the scale when stationed
at Durgapur/Ludhiana.
Selection
Process for CSIR-CMERI Technician-I 2025
The
selection process consists of two stages:
- Trade Test: Online applications will be
screened, and shortlisted candidates will be called for a trade test,
which is qualifying in nature.
- Competitive Written Examination:
Candidates who qualify in the trade test will be called for a written
examination (OMR or Computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice
Examination). The final merit list will be prepared solely on the marks
obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III of this examination.
