Criteria - Qualification & Experience Required
Each
post carries specific educational and professional experience requirements.
Read the details for your target role carefully, since 54.9% will not be
rounded up to 55% and teaching/freelancing experience is explicitly excluded.
Assistant Manager – Civil (E-1)
- Education: B.E. /
B.Tech or AMIE or equivalent in Civil Engineering with a minimum of
55% marks.
- Experience: Minimum 2
years post-qualification executive experience. Gross annual CTC in
last/current organisation must be at least ₹3,60,000 per annum.
- Required: Hands-on
site construction experience in Civil/Structural works - Residential,
Institutional, or Industrial projects.
- Preferred: Experience
in PEB structures, piling works, and quality assurance.
- Age Limit: 32 years
as on the last date of application.
Assistant Manager – Electrical (E-1)
- Education: B.E. /
B.Tech or AMIE or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of
55% marks.
- Experience: Minimum 2
years post-qualification executive experience. Gross annual CTC must be at
least ₹3,60,000 per annum.
- Required: Site
construction experience in LT/HT Electrical works - Residential,
Institutional, or Industrial projects.
- Preferred: Experience
in erection, testing, and commissioning of HT/LT Switchgears,
Transformers, cables, Motors, and Compact Sub-stations.
- Age Limit: 32 years
as on the last date of application.
Assistant Manager – Mechanical (E-1)
- Education: B.E. /
B.Tech or AMIE or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of
55% marks.
- Experience: Minimum 2
years post-qualification executive experience. Gross annual CTC must be at
least ₹3,60,000 per annum.
- Required: Site
construction experience in Mechanical works - Residential, Institutional,
or Industrial projects.
- Preferred: Erection,
testing, and commissioning of mechanical static/rotary equipment; piping
works (process/raw water/treated/cooling water).
- Age Limit: 32 years
as on the last date of application.
Senior Manager – Civil (E-4)
- Education: B.E. /
B.Tech or AMIE or equivalent in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 55%
marks.
- Experience: Minimum 9
years post-qualification executive experience. Gross annual CTC in
last/current organisation must be at least ₹7,20,000 per annum.
- Required: Extensive
site construction experience in Civil/Structural works - Residential,
Institutional, or Industrial projects.
- Preferred: Experience
in PEB structures, piling works, and quality assurance.
- Age Limit: 42 years
as on the last date of application.
Important note on
experience: Teaching, training, consultancy, and freelancing
experience will NOT be counted as relevant experience for any post.
Salary,
Benefits & Contract Terms
EPI's
fixed term contract positions come with competitive monthly remuneration,
statutory benefits, and performance-linked increments. Here is a complete
picture of the compensation structure.
- E-1 Grade
(Assistant Manager): ₹40,000 per month + House Rent Allowance
- E-4 Grade
(Senior Manager): ₹70,000 per month + House Rent Allowance
- HRA: Applicable
as per regular EPI employee norms based on the place of posting.
- North East
Location Allowance: An additional 10% of fixed
remuneration for postings in North East India.
- Provident Fund: As per the
Employees Provident Fund Act, 1952.
- Medical
Insurance: Self-medical
insurance coverage with reimbursement of premium up to ₹3,000 per annum.
- Gratuity: Admissible
as applicable.
- Annual
Increment: 3%
per year on completion of each year of service, subject to satisfactory
performance.
- Contract Period: Initially
1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance and organisational
requirements.
Age
Relaxation Policy
EPI
follows Presidential Directives on age relaxation for reserved category
candidates applying against reserved posts. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC applying
against unreserved posts will not receive any age relaxation.

Shortlisting
& Selection Process
EPI
uses a merit-based shortlisting process to filter applicants before calling
them for interview. Understanding this process helps you assess your
competitive standing before applying.
- Candidates are shortlisted based on percentage
of marks in the required qualification and post-qualification
experience.
- Fraction of percentage is ignored -
54.9% is treated as less than 55% and will lead to rejection.
- If applications are high in volume, EPI
may conduct a Written Test before
the interview stage.
- The shortlist will be published on the
EPI website; selected candidates will also be informed by email.
- The final list of selected candidates
will be hosted on the EPI website after the interview.
- Interview venue: Western
Regional Office (WRO), Mumbai. No TA/DA is admissible for
attending the interview.
