STATE BANK OF INDIA (SBI) Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification and other details:
Graduation in any discipline from a
recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by
Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate
should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2026.
Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply
provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they
will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or
before 31.12.2026.
Note: (a) The date of passing eligibility
examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet/certificate or
provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute. In case the result
of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/
Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the
University/Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the
website will be taken as the date of passing. (b) Matriculate Ex-servicemen,
who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or
corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after having completed not
less than 15 years of service in Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible
for the post. Such certificates should be dated on or before 31.12.2026.

The starting Basic Pay is Rs.26730/- (Rs.24050/- plus two advance
increments admissible to graduates). 7. EMOLUMENTS: The total starting
emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be
around Rs.46,000/- per month inclusive of D.A., other allowances at the current
rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior
associates. Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting. They will be
eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites, provident fund, Pension
under New Pension scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), Medical, Leave-Fare
and other facilities, as per instructions of the Bank as may be issued from
time to time

Selection
consists of an online Preliminary Examination, an online Main Examination, and
(where applicable) a Local Language Proficiency Test.

Each test has a
separate timing. There is negative marking of 1/4th mark per wrong answer in
the objective tests. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual
tests or the aggregate score; sectional marks are not maintained. Approximately
10 times the number of vacancies in each category (subject to availability)
will be shortlisted for the Main Exam, based on descending order of aggregate
marks in the Preliminary Exam.

percentage marks on aggregate as decided by the Bank (5% relaxation available
for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates). Only the aggregate marks obtained in the
Main Examination are considered for the final merit list; Preliminary
Examination marks are not added.
Phase-III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Provisionally selected
candidates who have not studied the specified local language of the applied
State in Class 10th or 12th must appear for this test.

Candidates who produce
a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing that they studied the
specified local language are exempt from this test. Minimum qualifying marks
apply, with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS candidates.
Trained Apprentices of
SBI (whose engagement started on or after 01.01.2022 and who completed one year
of branch experience successfully in SBI on or before 31.08.2026, with
satisfactory conduct and performance) are given a bonus of 2.5% of maximum
marks (5 marks out of 200) in the Main Examination, added to their aggregate
score.
The merit list is drawn
State-wise and category-wise. A wait list of up to 50% of vacancies
(State-category wise) will be maintained, and candidates released from it
quarterly against non-joining or resignation, valid for one year from the date
of declaration of the final result.
