Role Description:
i)
To explore difficulties which may
include the stress-full or emotional feelings of the clients.
ii) To help the client see things more
clearly, possibly from a different viewpoint. This could enable the client to
focus on feelings, experiences, or behaviour to facilitate positive change.
iii)
To establish a relationship of trust and maintain confidentiality with the
clients.
iv) To encourage clients to talk about issues
they feel they cannot normally share with others. Actively listen to client
concerns, empathise with their position, and accept without bias the issues
raised by clients.
v) To help clients towards a deeper
understanding of their concerns; Challenge any inconsistencies in what clients
say or do; Help clients make decisions and choices regarding possible ways
forward; refer clients to other sources of help, as appropriate.
vi) To carry out seminars twice a year for students and employees
to help them and make changes based on the issues raised by clients.
Selection Criteria:
The Incumbent should be an MA in Clinical Psychology from a
reputed University with a minimum five years of experience as a practitioner /
consultant Psychologist. Excellent Communication skills with a good command of
English and Hindi.
