·         Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024

 The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 167 including 5 vacancies for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) (4 vacancies for Locomotor Disability including Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack victims and Muscular Dystrophy and 1 vacancy for Multiple Disability). The number of vacancies is liable to alteration.

Educational Qualification and other details: 

Candidate must hold a degree in Engineering/Technology (BE/B. Tech) or its equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & telecommunication discipline from an approved government Institution/University

Applicant must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01 January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limit:

The age limit of applicants to apply for UPSC ESE 2024 should be as follows. The age limit of candidates will be calculated as on 01 January 2024:

·         Minimum Age Limit: 21 Years

·         Maximum Age Limit: 30 Years

The relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories will be applicable as per the Govt. Norms prescribed here.

Fees: 

·         Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST/PwBD who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- ( Rupees Two Hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using Internet Banking of any Bank.

Step 2 – Go to the What’s New section on the home page and click on the ‘Indian Engineering Services Examination 2024’ link.

Step 3 – A new window will be opened on the screen with the ESE Notification 2024.

Step 4 – Download the UPSC ESE Notification 2024 PDF and read it carefully.

Step 5 – Now, Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab, to complete your One Time Registration (OTR).

Step 6 – Enter all the essential details and upload the required documents (photograph, signature, etc.) in the prescribed format and size.

Step 7 – Go for online payment of application fees. After paying the application fees, click on the final submit button.

Step 8 – Take a printout of the application form for future reference.
