Educational Qualification and other details: 

SI (Master)

i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University; and
ii) 2nd class Master Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/ Mercantile Marine Department.

SI (Engine Driver)

i) 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University; and
ii) 1st class Engine Driver Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority / Mercantile Marine Department.

HC (Master)

i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and
ii) Serang Certificate.

HC (Engine Driver)

i)             Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and

ii)            Possessing 2nd class Engine Driver Certificate.

HC (Workshop)

Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent

Constable (Crew)

i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and
ii) One year experience in the operation of a Boat below 265 HP;
iii) Should know swimming in deep water without any assistance.

Candidates applying for Group ‘B’ posts are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 200, while those applying for Group ‘C’ posts must pay Rs. 100. This fee can be paid using various digital payment methods like Net Banking, UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, or Wallet. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST categories, departmental candidates, and Ex-Servicemen are exempt from paying the examination fee.

Salary

Candidates selected for the positions of SI (Master), SI (Engine Driver), and SI (Workshop) receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400, along with additional benefits. Details about the pay scale for other positions are listed in the table
