Rule-3(b) A candidate shall- “possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared as deemed to be a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government: Provided that the candidate holding bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering shall not be eligible to apply.”

Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed pay of ₹49,600/- per month for the first five years, as per the Government of Gujarat’s finance resolutions.
After completion of five years, they may be considered for regular pay scale based on performance and government norms.
