The State Examination Board (SEB), Gujarat has officially released the Teacher Eligibility Test-I (TET-I) 2025 Notification for the recruitment of Primary Teachers (Vidya Sahayak) in Government Primary Schools (Classes 1 to 5).

This exam is conducted as per the rules and resolutions of the Education Department, Secretariat, Gandhinagar, to determine eligibility for teaching positions in primary schools managed by District and Municipal Education Committees.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria for TET-I 2025

Candidates must possess the educational and training qualifications prescribed by the Government of Gujarat for appointment as a Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5).

Educational Qualification:

• Minimum HSC (12th Pass)
  AND

Training Qualification (any one):

• Two-Year PTC / D.El.Ed.
• Four-Year B.El.Ed.
• Two-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

Note: Educational qualification documents will be verified by the Recruitment Selection Committee. The final decision of the committee will be binding.

🧠 Exam Pattern for TET-I 2025

• Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Total Questions: 150
• Duration: 120 Minutes
• Marks: 150 (1 mark per question)
• Negative Marking: No
• Medium: Gujarati / English / Hindi (as chosen by candidate)

The exam structure and syllabus are defined under the Education Department’s resolutions dated 27/04/2011 and updated on 08/10/2025.

 

🏫 Exam Centres

Centres will be allotted by the State Examination Board depending on the number of registered candidates and administrative convenience.
Candidates must appear for the exam at their own expense at the centre allotted.

 

📝 Medium of Examination

Candidates can choose only one language medium – Gujarati, English, or Hindi.
The question paper will be provided only in the medium chosen during online application.
