“WALK-IN TEST” FOR INDUCTION OF SCIENCE COMMUNICATOR& TRAINEE (CRAFT)

 

Eligible candidates may walk-in for a Written & Communication Skill Test for induction of ‘Science Communicator’ and a Written & Trade Test for induction of Trainee (Craft) to be held on 29.11.2025 at 9.30 a.m. at the above address, as per details given below :

 

1)	Science Communicator	:	06 Nos.
	Consolidated Stipend	:	`35,000/- per month
	Educational Qualification	:	M.Sc. with Physics/Chemistry, Mathematics/Computer Science/Life Science/Environment Science/Bio-Technology OR equivalent M.Sc. degree in Applied Science subjects from duly recognized University (Candidate must have passed M. Sc. in or after 2023)
	Job Requirement for Science Communicator	:	The selected candidate must be fluent in Gujarati, Hindi & English language. He/She will be required to explain scientific exhibits to visitors, attend to minor repairs of exhibits & assist Centre authorities in conducting various educational activities including demonstration/lectures in and outside museum. The candidate will also be required to travel widely with the Mobile Science Exhibition unit on payment of usual TA/DA as per Rule.
	Tenure	:	One year, extendable for one more year subject to satisfactory performance.
2)	Trainee (Craft)	:	01) Carpenter    - 01 No. 02) Fitter          - 01 No. 03) Electronics - 01 No.   04) Computer Hardware & Network Maintenance - 01 No.
	Consolidated Stipend	:	`22,000/- per month
	Educational Qualification	:	S.S.C. or Matriculation with Certificate from I.T.I. or equivalent in relevant discipline (Passed I.T.I. in or after 2023)
	Job Requirement for Trainee (Craft) in the trade of ‘Carpenter’, ‘Fitter’, ‘Electronics’ and ‘CH&NM’	:	Operation, repair, fabrication, maintenance of Exhibits /Equipments /instruments /installations etc. The candidate will also be required to travel widely with Mobile Science Exhibition unit on payment of usual TA/DA as per Rule.
	Tenure	:	One year, extendable for one more year subject to satisfactory performance.

No Travelling Allowance will be paid for attending the Test. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification.
