• Qualification: Certificate of Competency as Master of foreign going ship issued by Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India or equivalent qualification recognized by Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India
• Experience: One-year post qualification experience as Master/Chief Officer of a foreign going ship

• Minimum Age: 40 years
• Maximum Age: 56 years
• Age Relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years (up to 45 years)
• Age Relaxation for OBC: 3 years (up to 43 years)
• Age Relaxation for PwBD: 10 years (up to 50 years, or 55 years for existing Port Authority employees with maximum 56 years)
• Age Limit for Existing Port Authority Employees: 55 years

Salary / Stipend

• Pay Scale: Rs. 70,000 - 2,00,000 (Pre to pre-revised scale Rs. 14,500 - 18,700) IDA pattern
