Eligibility
Criteria
A
diploma in the appropriate branch of engineering/technology or advance diploma
(vocational) from recognised board/institute as shown against each trade/ group
in Appendix A, obtained from the State Technical Examination Board or any of
the University established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State
Act in India;
or
any other educational institution recognised as such or declared as deemed to
be a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,1956;
or accredited by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or possess
an equivalent qualification and have experience in the relevant field as
described in Appendix-A respectively or
A
bachelor’s degree in the appropriate branch of engineering or technology from
recognised University as shown against each trade/group in Appendix- A,
obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under
the Central or a State Act in India;
or
any other educational institution recognised as such or declared as deemed to
be a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956,
or accredited by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or possess
an equivalent qualification and have experience in the relevant filed as
described in Appendix- A, respectively or
Craft
Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) / National Craft Instructor Certificate
(NCIC) (for those trades where courses under craft instructor training scheme
are available) in each same or relevant trade / group obtained from Director General
of Training / Director General of Employment and Training / Ministry of Skill
Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India and have experience in
the relevant field as described in Appendix A respectively.

Technical
qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics
with one-year post qualification experience in the relevant field.
Three
years Diploma in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics with two years post
qualification experience in the relevant field.
SSC
pass or equivalent and CITS /NCIC in the same or relevant trade with three
years post qualification experience in the relevant field.
Must
possess valid LMV driving license issued by competent state authority at the
time of appointment.
Bachelor's
degree in Engineering or Technology in computer / Computer Science and/or
Information Technology / Information and Communication Technology with one-year
post qualification experience in the relevant field or Bachelor in Computer
Application and/or Information Technology / Computer Science and/or Information
Technology with two years post qualification experience in the relevant field
or
Post-graduate in Computer Application and/or Information Technology / Computer
Science and/or Information Technology / Information and Communication
Technology or Three years Diploma in Computer / Computer Science/ Information
Technology / Information and Communication technology with two years post
qualification experience in the relevant field.
Master
of Business Administration with oneyear post qualification experience in the
relevant field in industry and/or in Institute in teaching in communication
skills and personality development
or Bachelor
of Business Administration with two years post qualification experience in the
relevant field in industry and/or in Institute in teaching in communication
skills and Personality development.
(b) possess the basic knowledge of computer applications as
prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment
(General) Rules, 1967

Fee
- The exam fee for the preliminary
examination for reserved category (specifically divyang/disabled candidates)
is ₹400.
- Candidates who actually appear for the
examination will receive a refund of the fees paid.

GUJARAT
SUBORDINATE SERVICES SELECTION BOARD (GSSSB) Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- Selection will be based on
competitive examination through MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) type
- Examination mode: CBRT/OMR
(Computer Based Response Test/Optical Mark Recognition)
- Examination will be conducted
in two parts: Part-A and Part-B
- Part-A
(90 marks): Logical Test & Data
Interpretation (30 marks), Mathematical Test (30 marks), Constitution,
Current Affairs, English and Gujarati Comprehension (30 marks)
- Part-B
(120 marks): Questions related to the
concerned subject and its application
- Total Questions: 210 (Part-A:
90 questions, Part-B: 120 questions)
- Total Time: 3 hours (180
minutes) for both parts combined
- Negative Marking: 1/4 mark will
be deducted for each wrong answer
- Qualifying Standard: Minimum
40% marks required separately in Part-A and Part-B for all categories
- Merit list will be prepared
based on total marks/normalized marks obtained
- Candidates double the number of
vacancies will be called for certificate verification based on merit
- Final selection list and
waiting list will be prepared based on merit and category-wise vacancies
- Level of question paper will be
equivalent to educational qualification
