The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released a short notification announcing a total of 109 vacancies across multiple disciplines under Executive Officer posts, along with one senior-level post of Director (Legal). Interested candidates first have to submit their online application forms to get themself enrolled for the recruitment process. The online application process will start from 1st April 2026 onwards at the ICAI official website www.icai.org.

ICAI Executive Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026

The candidates who are intrested to apply for the ICAI Executive Officer Recruitment 2026 must make sure they fulfill the required eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit as specified by the officials.

Age Limit (As on 28/02/2026)

The minimum age limit to apply for the ICAI Executive Officer Recruitment 2026 is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 25 years as on 28th February 2026. The age relaxation will be given as per the rules.

Salary

• Director (Legal): Pay Level 16 → Basic Pay ₹2,05,400 – ₹2,24,400 (approx. ₹54 lakhs p.a.)
• All Executive Officer posts: Pay Level 10 → Basic Pay ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (approx. ₹15.51 lakhs p.a.)
• Additional benefits: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, NPS, LTC, Gratuity, etc.

 

Selection Process – Executive Officer

For Executive Officer posts (all domains), the selection process includes a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by interview.

• Mode: CBT with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) plus Descriptive questions.
• Medium: English.
• Total marks: 150 marks, duration 150 minutes.

Structure for Executive Officer CBT:

• General Section – Part A (MCQ): 30 questions, 30 marks.
• General Section – Part B (Descriptive): 2 questions, 30 marks.
• Technical Section (MCQ): 90 questions, 90 marks.
• Negative marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong MCQ answer; no negative marking for descriptive questions.

The technical syllabus differs by domain code (2602–2608) and covers domain-specific topics such as Accounting Standards, auditing, tax laws, company law, sustainability, economics, infrastructure engineering, and IT, as detailed in the annexure to the notification

Click on “Apply Online” / “APPLY HERE” Button In the advertisement PDF (last page), you will see a blue “APPLY HERE” button. Click it → It will redirect you to the official online application portal.

Register / Login on the Portal

• New users → Click “New Registration” or “Register Now”.
• Enter your valid Email ID and Mobile Number (these will be used for all future communication).
• Create a password and complete OTP verification.

Fill the Online Application Form

• Select the Position Code you are applying for (2601 to 2608).
• Fill all personal details, educational qualifications, experience (if any), etc.

Pay the Application Fee

• Pay ₹500 online through the payment gateway (Net Banking / UPI / Debit/Credit Card).

Submit & Take Printout
