The Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited (J&K Bank) has officially announced the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 under the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) with 614 vacancies for a training period of one year. The detailed notification (Ref. No. JKB/HR/Rectt/2026-182) was released on 17 April 2026 on the official website jkb.bank.in. Candidates who meet the age criteria of 20 to 28 years and possess a graduation degree (passed on or after 01 January 2022) can submit their online applications from 20 April 2026 to 26 April 2026. J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Description

Qualification

Graduation from a recognised University/Institute. Must have passed graduation on or after 01.01.2022. Proficiency in local/official language required (studied as subject in Class 10 or 12).

Age (as on 01/01/2026)

Minimum 20 years and Maximum 28 years. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD etc. as per Government guidelines.

Training Duration

12 months. Apprentices will be relieved after completion of the apprenticeship period.

Stipend

₹13,500/- per month (Bank's share: ₹9,000/- + Govt. share via DBT: ₹4,500/-). Conveyance up to ₹1,250/- per month. DBT amount applicable only for candidates below 35 years of age.

Trainee Hours

On-the-Job Training during normal working hours from 10 AM to 5 PM, as applicable to the workmen cadre of the Bank.

J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee/intimation charges through online mode only during the registration window from 20 April 2026 to 26 April 2026. No other mode of payment is available. The application fee is inclusive of GST, and bank transaction charges for online payment will have to be borne by the candidate.

Fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances, including withdrawal of candidature or cancellation of the recruitment process.Candidates should ensure they pay the fee applicable to their correct category, as change of category will not be permitted at any stage after submission of the online application. Payment can be made using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets.

J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection of apprentices for J&K Bank 2026 will be based entirely on merit obtained in an Online Written Examination of objective type. The examination consists of 100 questions of 100 marks to be completed in 60 minutes (1 hour), divided into two sections: General Awareness & English Comprehension (50 questions, 50 marks, 30 minutes) and Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning Ability (50 questions, 50 marks, 30 minutes).

There is a penalty for wrong answers -one-fourth (1/4th) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No penalty applies for unattempted questions. The online examination will be conducted only in English. The merit list will be drawn district/region and category wise, with candidates placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order. In case two or more candidates score equal marks, they will be ranked based on age in descending order (older candidate ranked higher).

A wait list of 50% of notified vacancies will be maintained for one year from the date of result or till the next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier. The Bank reserves the right to conduct any other test or follow any other selection criteria at its discretion.

How to Apply for J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online official website.

  • Eligible candidates can apply for J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 through online mode only from 20 April 2026 to 26 April 2026. No other mode of application will be accepted.
  • Before applying, candidates must first register on the Apprenticeship Portal at https://nats.education.gov.in and obtain their enrolment number.
  • Candidates must complete 100% of their profile on the Apprenticeship Portal and ensure their Mobile number, Aadhaar, and Bank account are inter-linked with DBT enabled.
  • Thereafter, candidates must apply on the official J&K Bank website at https://www.jkb.bank.in under the Careers tab by clicking on the "Engagement of Apprentices" link.
  • Candidates can apply for only one District/Area; if more than one application is submitted, only the latest application will be considered. Candidates must upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration in English as per the specified format and dimensions.
  • After submitting the application and paying the fee, candidates must take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form for future reference. No change of data is permitted after the final submission of the online application.

  • Passport-size colour photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm; 20KB–50KB; JPG/JPEG)
