Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, has
released the Employment Notification No. 04/2026 dated 22 April 2026 for the
post of Junior Engineer (Mining) on a contractual basis for its various mining
projects. A total of 59 vacancies have been announced under NMDC JE Mining
Recruitment 2026. Eligible candidates with a Diploma in Mining Engineering aged
up to 50 years can apply online from 22.04.2026 to 06.05.2026 through the

NMDC Junior Engineer Mining Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
Criteria
Before
applying for NMDC Junior Engineer Mining Recruitment 2026, candidates must
carefully verify that they meet all eligibility requirements as specified in
the official notification. The mandatory qualification required is a 3-year
Diploma in Mining Engineering from a University or Institution recognized by
UGC/AICTE/Government of India.
Possession of
any higher qualification other than the prescribed essential qualification does
not make a candidate eligible for this post. Proof of qualification must be
uploaded during the online application and also produced in original at the
time of Document Verification. The desirable qualification is a Foreman's
Certificate of Competency for metalliferous mines, which though not mandatory,
will be an added advantage.
Only Indian
nationals are eligible to apply. Wherever CGPA or letter grade is awarded, the
equivalent percentage of marks must be indicated in the online application as
per the norms of the respective university or institution.

The maximum
age limit for NMDC Junior Engineer Mining Recruitment 2026 is 50 years as on
the cut-off date i.e. the last date for submission of online application
(06.05.2026). Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved
categories as per Government of India rules.

An
application fee of ₹250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) is payable by all
candidates applying for NMDC Junior Engineer Mining Recruitment 2026. The fee
is non-refundable and will not be adjusted against any future notification
under any circumstances.

NMDC Junior Engineer Mining Recruitment 2026 Remuneration &
Benefits
Selected
candidates for the Junior Engineer (Mining) post will receive a consolidated
pay of ₹60,000/- per month. The consolidated remuneration can be increased by
up to a maximum of 5% annually in subsequent years based on performance.
Remuneration will be calculated based on actual attendance and prorated
deductions will be made for absence.
In addition
to the consolidated pay, selected candidates will be entitled to several
benefits including Accidental Group Insurance coverage for accidents arising
out of or during the course of employment, outpatient expenses for
self-treatment of ₹35,000/- per annum, House Rent Allowance (HRA) as
applicable, and TA/DA for official tours.
Candidates
will also be entitled to 12 days of Casual Leave and 20 days of Medical Leave
per calendar year. Un-availed Casual Leave cannot be carried forward and
encashment of Casual Leave is not permitted. Selected candidates are also
eligible for weekly rest days and public holidays as per Company rules. No
other monetary benefit beyond those listed will be admissible.

NMDC Junior Engineer Mining Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection
process for NMDC Junior Engineer Mining Recruitment 2026 will be carried out
through a Supervisory Skill Assessment conducted by a duly constituted
Committee. Candidates will first be called for Document Verification, and only
those whose documents are found in order as per the notification will be
permitted to appear in the Supervisory Skill Assessment.
Candidates
who are unable to produce the required original documents meeting the essential
eligibility criteria will not be allowed to attend the assessment and will not
be reimbursed Travelling Allowance.
The merit
list will be drawn based on the candidates' performance in the Supervisory
Skill Assessment. NMDC Management reserves the right to alter or fix the
criteria for calling candidates for the assessment based on the number of
applications received. The decision of NMDC Management will be final in all
matters relating to the selection process and no interim correspondence will be
entertained.

application portal is active from 10:00 AM on 22.04.2026 to 11:45 PM on
06.05.2026. Candidates must fill all details online and upload all required
documents and certificates during the registration process — failure to do so
may result in rejection of candidature.
Only one
application should be submitted per candidate; in case of multiple
applications, the latest one will be considered as final and all older ones
will be rejected. After successful online registration and fee payment,
candidates must download and retain a printout of the Application/Registration
