a. Possess a Bachelor’s degree of Engineering (Civil) or
Technology (Civil) obatained from any of the Universities established or
incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other
educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a
university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,1956 or
possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
b. possess the basic
knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services
Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967, and
c. possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both

The selection process for GPSC GWSSB
Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2026 consists of 2 successive stages - a
Preliminary Examination (Objective type, 300 marks, 3 hours) and an Interview
(100 marks). There is no Main Examination. The final merit list will be
prepared with 50% weightage to Prelim Exam marks and 50% weightage to Interview
marks. The result will be declared within 10 working days from the last date of
interview.
