Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 100 Assistant Section Officer Posts
CSIR ASO Recruitment 2026: The
Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), under the Department of
Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology,
Government of India, has released the CSIR ASO Recruitment 2026 Notification through
Advertisement No. E-I/RC/2026/2. The
recruitment is being conducted for 100 Assistant Section Officer (ASO) vacancies
in General, Finance & Accounts, and Stores & Purchase cadres. Eligible
candidates can submit their online applications from 23
June 2026 to 13 July 2026.
Candidates
who were non-recommended in the UPSC Civil Services Examination
(CSE) 2024 and whose details are available on the UPSC
Pratibha Setu Portal are eligible to apply. The selected candidates will be
appointed in Group B (Non-Gazetted), Pay Level-7 with
an attractive salary and Central Government allowances. Interested candidates
should carefully check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee,
selection process, and other important details before applying online.

Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
The
maximum age limit is 33 years as on
the closing date of the online application.
Age
relaxation is applicable as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC (NCL): 3 Years
- PwBD (UR): 10 Years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 Years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules
- CSIR Departmental Candidates: 5 Years
