Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. Educational Qualification & Experience

For Manager – Chemical (Coal Gasification):

• Educational Qualification: Degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institution.
• Experience: Minimum 05 years experience in gasification, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer, chemical, or industrial gas plant operations. Must have been part of project development from construction through commissioning to stable operation, with hands-on experience in complex plant operations.
• Desirable: Working knowledge of syngas clean-up (particulate removal and acid gas removal) and experience with coal, lignite, biomass, or petcoke as feedstock.

For Manager – Mechanical (Coal Gasification):

• Educational Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution.
• Experience: Minimum 05 years experience in gasification, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer, chemical, or thermal power plant operations. Must have been part of project development from construction through commissioning to stable operation, with hands-on experience in complex plant operations.
• Desirable: Exposure to coal, lignite, biomass, or petcoke gasification.

For DGM – Coal Gasification:

• Educational Qualification: Degree in engineering (Mining/Mechanical/Chemical) from a reputed institution.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in any of the following projects: gasification, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer, chemical, with at least 2 years leading a plant, mine, or project site.
• Desirable: Well-experienced in gasification (coal/lignite/pet-coke/biomass/others). Should have worked with technology licensors, EPC contractors, and consultants through feasibility, pilot, or commissioning stages. Complete techno-commercial understanding of the gasification value chain. Should have headed or been a senior member involved in complex project rollouts. Knowledge of the gasification ecosystem and key players. Experience of running site operations at more than one location at the same time is preferred. Coal or lignite mining experience. Expertise in project budgeting and project finance.

Common Requirement: Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, and be willing to work at the project sites and in shifts.

Remuneration

The monthly consolidated remuneration will be negotiable, based on the candidate’s previous/current remuneration. Allowances are limited to transport facility (not general allowances), with travelling allowance on tour as per GMDC Ltd. rules.

Selection Process

A Selection Committee will scrutinize applications and short-list candidates based on their merits. Short-listed candidates will be called for an Interview. Interviews may be conducted in-person (with TA provided as applicable to GMDC employees) or through Video Conferencing, as decided by GMDC Ltd. The decision of the competent authority regarding selection will be final, and no correspondence on this matter will be entertained. GMDC reserves the right to cancel the advertisement or reject applications without providing any explanation.
