Educational Qualification and
other details:
(b) Possess:
(i) A degree of B.Sc.(Nursing) obtained from any of the
Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act
in India, or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared
as deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants
Commission Act, 1956; and recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian
Nursing Council; or
(ii) a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery obtained from an
institution recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing
Council;
(c) possess the basic knowledge of computer application as
prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment
(General) Rules, 1967: and
(d) possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

competitive examination held for the purpose shall be required to get himself
registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council under the Gujarat Nurses, Midwives
and Health Visitor’s Act. 1968 at the time of his appointment on the basis of
the result of a competitive examination held for purpose, if he is not so
registered.”

Instructions:
All
questions are multiple-choice questions.
Each
question carries one mark before any applicable pro-rata adjustment.
Negative
marking is one-fourth of the marks assigned to an incorrect answer.
Candidates
must secure at least 40% marks separately in Paper I and Paper II.
The
Nursing paper can be attempted in Gujarati or English.
The
Gujarati Language paper is conducted only in Gujarati.
The
notification specifies a duration of 2 hours for the Nursing paper.
Merit
is prepared using combined marks secured in both papers, subject to the
qualifying standards.
