English Main Examination Syllabus
The
English descriptive paper carries 100 marks and covers essay writing, formal
letters, report writing, interpretation of visual information, formal speech,
précis writing, reading comprehension, grammar and translation.
Group-A
General Studies Syllabus
The
General Studies paper carries 150 marks. Its syllabus covers Indian history,
Gujarat history, cultural heritage, the Constitution, governance, economy,
geography, science, environment, current affairs and other subjects prescribed
in Appendix-H of the official notification.

the preliminary and main examinations, including the applicable papers. The
qualifying standard cannot be reduced below 40% for any category.

or selection, as the competitive merit cut-off may be higher.
